3. The functions work only within system limits and are partly dependent on the availability of third-party services. Audi assumes no liability with regard to the correctness of this data. The services are provided via a SIM card installed in the vehicle. The costs of calls and data connections are included in the price of the services. The services provided by Audi are available only within the range of the mobile phone network of the mobile phone provider chosen by Audi. The Audi connect services online roadside assistance, Audi incident assistance and Audi service request are provided for up to 10 years after new vehicle delivery. In the event of changes ordered by the authorities or state or other legally required changes, or if any necessary telecommunications systems and services are discontinued (e.g. if our mobile services provider ends or restricts mobile services that are used in your vehicle), the replacement of and the cost of replacing any devices necessary as a result of such a change or discontinuation are not the responsibility of Audi. Further disruption to the services may occur due to force majeure or as a result of technical and other measures carried out on the systems of Audi, suppliers or network operators to ensure their proper function (e.g. maintenance, repairs, system-related software updates, extensions). Audi will make every reasonable effort to end such disruption as quickly as possible or to work towards a resolution. The package also includes the automatic provision of updates for the software used in the vehicle, provided that these can be made available online. If this service is booked, Audi reserves the right to scan the information stored in the vehicle and to determine which software updates the vehicle requires. If an update is available, Audi will upload the required information into the vehicle to prepare for installation. Audi will then inform the user of the content of the relevant update and ask them to consent to the installation. The relevant update is not installed until the user has given their consent.

Audi Smartphone Interface uses Apple CarPlay, which is available with iPhone 6 and above, or Android Auto, which is available with phones using Android 5.0 Lollipop or above and requires the download of the Android Auto app. Availability of applications differs by operating system and is dependent on approval by Apple or Google. An up-to-date list of approved apps is available on the relevant systems’ websites. Permanent availability cannot be guaranteed as this is the responsibility of Apple and Google. Use of certain apps with Smartphone Interface will be subject to signal availability of the mobile network in your location and in-car usage may increase your mobile data usage. If using regularly, a mobile phone contract including an unlimited or high amount of data is recommended.
6. Audi has no influence over which smartphone applications can be shown via the smartphone interface in the vehicle. The respective service providers are responsible for the content and functions displayed within the applications.
7. Vehicle driver assistance and safety systems are not a substitute for attentive driving. Drivers retain full responsibility for providing the necessary inputs for safe control of the vehicle.
