• Traffic sign-based speed limiter - When the traffic sign-based speed limiter is activated, speed can be controlled using the accelerator as usual. However, this is limited to the automatically set speed detected by the system. The set speeds are based on speed limits from the stored map data and from the camera-based traffic sign recognition. The currently set speed limit and – if available – the speed limit ahead are displayed. The automatically set speeds can also be changed manually and the adoption of upcoming speed limits can be prevented. The system is operated by means of a separate steering column stalk. The speed limiter mode can be temporarily deactivated or overridden using kickdown.

• Front cross-traffic assist - Front cross-traffic assist is part of active front assist and monitors the area in front of and to the side of the vehicle on intersections and exit roads using the radar sensors built into the front of the vehicle. Within system limits, the system detects moving objects such as cars that are approaching. The system operates in a speed range of up to 65 km/h. In situations deemed critical, the system issues multi-stage warning messages. First, a visual and acoustic warning is provided. If the driver fails to react, the brakes intervene. The warnings are displayed in the Audi virtual cockpit plus and in the MMI touch display if the parking system is activated. In conjunction with the augmented reality head-up display (optional equipment), this also warns of critical situations.
• Front emergency brake assist - Front emergency brake assist is part of active front assist and scans the area in front of the vehicle and can, depending on the situation and speed, warn of imminent collisions and initiate appropriate braking measures. Pedestrians and cyclists can be detected at vehicle speeds up to approximately 85 km/h and vehicles up to maximum speed. If an imminent front-end collision is determined, the system provides a visual, acoustic and haptic warning as part of a multi-stage concept. In order to reduce speed or possibly avoid a collision, braking force can be boosted or full deceleration initiated.
• Swerve assist and front turn assist

· Swerve assist and front turn assist are part of active front assist.
· Swerve assist can help steer the vehicle around an obstacle in a collision avoidance situation detected as being critical. If the driver actively avoids an obstacle following an acute warning, swerve assist supports them with specific brake application and use of minimal steering torque when correcting the steering angle. Swerve assist is available in a speed range from approximately 30 to 150 km/h and requires the driver to steer actively during the entire manoeuvre.
When moving off or driving slowly up to a speed of 25 km/h, front turn assist can help to prevent the vehicle from colliding with an oncoming vehicle when turning by means of brake intervention. As soon as the driver indicates, turn assist monitors the opposite lane. The driver is informed about the application of the brakes by means of a display in the Audi virtual cockpit plus.

Within system limits, the system detects moving objects such as cars that are approaching. The system operates in a speed range of up to 65 km/h. In situations deemed critical, the system issues multi-stage warning messages. First, a visual and acoustic warning is provided. If the driver fails to react, the brakes intervene. The warnings are displayed in the Audi virtual cockpit plus and in the MMI touch display if the parking system is activated. In conjunction with the augmented reality head-up display (optional equipment), this also warns of critical situations.
• Front emergency brake assist - Front emergency brake assist is part of active front assist and scans the area in front of the vehicle and can, depending on the situation and speed, warn of imminent collisions and initiate appropriate braking measures. Pedestrians and cyclists can be detected at vehicle speeds up to approximately 85 km/h and vehicles up to maximum speed. If an imminent front-end collision is determined, the system provides a visual, acoustic and haptic warning as part of a multi-stage concept. In order to reduce speed or possibly avoid a collision, braking force can be boosted or full deceleration initiated.
• Swerve assist and front turn assist

· Swerve assist and front turn assist are part of active front assist.
· Swerve assist can help steer the vehicle around an obstacle in a collision avoidance situation detected as being critical. If the driver actively avoids an obstacle following an acute warning, swerve assist supports them with specific brake application and use of minimal steering torque when correcting the steering angle. Swerve assist is available in a speed range from approximately 30 to 150 km/h and requires the driver to steer actively during the entire manoeuvre.
When moving off or driving slowly up to a speed of 25 km/h, front turn assist can help to prevent the vehicle from colliding with an oncoming vehicle when turning by means of brake intervention. As soon as the driver indicates, turn assist monitors the opposite lane. The driver is informed about the application of the brakes by means of a display in the Audi virtual cockpit plus.

• MMI front passenger display - The 10.9-inch touch display gives the front passenger access to the apps3 in the Audi Application Store including an extensive entertainment service, to media and to individually adjustable stand-by designs. When searching for destinations, the driver can be assisted by route adaptation on the MMI front passenger display. Thanks to the dynamic privacy mode, the screen is not visible to the driver as soon as a person is sitting on the front passenger seat. This prevents the driver from being distracted while driving. If the driver is alone in the vehicle, an individually adjustable stand-by design can be selected for the MMI front passenger display.

• Adaptive cruise assist plus - the adaptive cruise assist plus helps accelerate, brake, maintain speed and the set distance as well as stay in lane. This can increase driving comfort, especially on long journeys. The system uses various sensors to permanently monitor the vehicle’s surroundings. These include the radar sensor installed in the front end, the front camera and the ultrasonic sensors. In addition, depending on region, high-resolution map data and swarm data from other vehicles calculated in the cloud are used to improve driving behaviour.

• Parking system plus with distance display - Assists with entering and exiting parking spaces and with manoeuvring forwards and backwards by providing acoustic signals and visual display with virtual driving path display

• Park assist plus - Assists with entering and exiting parking spaces. With this process, which has to be monitored permanently and fully, the assist system controls steering, acceleration and braking within system limits and switches off the motor. Park assist plus is activated via the MMI touch display. Park assist applies the brakes automatically if obstacles are detected within system limits. The system can forward and reverse park the vehicle into parallel and perpendicular parking spaces between vehicles

• Driver attention and fatigue monitor - The system warns the driver visually and/or acoustically if loss of attention is detected, which may, for example, be caused by distraction or fatigue. Within system limits, sensors are used to monitor driving and steering behaviour, for example, and detect a level of fatigue as a result. In different stages, the system then provides a visual warning in the Audi virtual cockpit plus with a colour-highlighted pop-up that prompts the driver to take a break, as well as an acoustic message.

• Traffic sign-based speed limiter - When the traffic sign-based speed limiter is activated, speed can be controlled using the accelerator as usual. However, this is limited to the automatically set speed detected by the system. The set speeds are based on speed limits from the stored map data and from the camera-based traffic sign recognition. The currently set speed limit and – if available – the speed limit ahead are displayed. The automatically set speeds can also be changed manually and the adoption of upcoming speed limits can be prevented. The system is operated by means of a separate steering column stalk. The speed limiter mode can be temporarily deactivated or overridden using kickdown.

• Augmented reality head-up display - The augmented reality head-up display can help make it easier to process the information quickly with minimal distraction. Compared with a conventional head-up display, the display area is expanded to include a larger image and greater image separation. This produces a virtual image with depth directly in the driver’s field of view, creating the impression that the information displayed blends with the real surroundings. The augmented reality head-up display projects the speed and other information relevant to the driver from equipment such as assist systems and navigation as well as warnings onto the windscreen if so required. The display is height-adjustable and its position can be changed to suit the driver.
