Powertrains
Choose between two powertrain options for your XC60 plug-in hybrid. Both enable all-electric driving for most daily trips, with a petrol engine ready to step in if needed.
T6 AWD
This powertrain strikes a balance between power and energy efficiency. An electric motor drives the rear wheels using an advanced 19 kWh lithium-ion battery, while a high-performance petrol engine with eboost and turbo technology powers the front wheels. All-wheel drive is always available, and the 8-speed automatic transmission adds versatility.
T8 AWD
This high-performance option delivers dynamic power and confident handling without sacrificing everyday practicality. It shares the same 19 kWh lithium-ion battery and all-wheel drive system as the T6 AWD, but it's tuned with extra torque and acceleration for a thrilling drive.
Five drive modes
Choose from five drive modes that adapt the car for efficiency, power or tougher roads: Hybrid, Power, Pure, Off-road and Constant All-wheel Drive (AWD).
One pedal drive
Both powertrain options feature one pedal drive to improve efficiency and make driving smoother. Speed up and slow down using just the accelerator.
Range
The XC60 plug-in hybrid has an electric range of up to 51 miles (according to WLTP). From family outings to date nights, this range lets you handle most daily trips on electric power alone.
Battery Charging Duration
Charge your XC60 plug-in hybrid from 0 to 100 per cent in around three hours. This lets you cover most daily driving on pure electric power.
The XC60 plug-in hybrid has a 71-litre fuel tank. Its efficient petrol engine is designed to reduce fuel consumption. It also has a small electric motor instead of a traditional supercharger, so you get more engine power without consuming extra fuel.

The XC60 plug-in hybrid can tow up to 2 250 kg.
Press a button inside the boot to release the optional folding tow bar, then manually lock it into place. Press again to hide it away.
When you’re ready to hit the road, the rear park assist camera helps you line up with your trailer. Trailer Stability Assist helps prevent swaying as you drive.
